Early Paintings by Oriana Kacicek: sun at summer when the moon is not there

My formal fine art training in drawing and painting began before I was able to walk. My parents, both professional drawer/painters who also hold degrees from the IAHP, exposed me to great art from the time I was born, while encouraging me to find my own voice and expression in the art world.

As a small child I was given free reign to draw, paint, dance, play the violin, sing, create poetry, meditate, read, dream and spend a lot of time in nature. I always had access to a wide array of the best materials and filled sketchbook upon sketchbook from the time I could hold a crayon in my hand.

Since I was homeschooled, I always had the time that I needed to explore my unique creativity. I have gleaned these few examples out of hundreds of my early paintings, many of which were self-titled when I created them.

At the age of seven I began training for a career in ballet and most of my time and creative energy was directed toward my dancing. I've recently picked up my brush again, and I'm currently represented by Quidley & Company galleries.
